Online Privacy Policy

This Online Privacy Policy has been created by Fay Johnstone (the “Company”) because the Company respects the privacy concerns of the users of its website, https://www.fayjohnstone.com/ and the services provided therein (the “Site”) and we know that you care about how information you provide to us is used and shared.

The purpose of this privacy statement is to explain what information is gathered during a visit to the Site and how such information may be used.

The Information collected

No personally identifiable information, such as your name, address, or e-mail address, is automatically collected from your visit to the Site. The Site’s mailing list, downloads and registration forms may request that you give us contact information such as your name, mailing and/or e-mail address, demographic information such as your age and gender, and personal preference information such as your preferred software and interests.

In the course of operating the Site and/or interacting with you, the Company will collect (and/or receive) the following types of information.

  1. Personal Information.

When you sign up to receive any of the Company’s newsletters, register for a workshop, or purchase any product or service, you may be required to provide us with personal information about yourself, such as your name, address, email address, and phone number. We do not collect any personal information from Visitors when they use the Site unless they provide such information voluntarily, such as by registering or sending us an email or signing up for a newsletter. All information we collect and/or receive under this section is collectively called “Personal Information.”

When you place an Order, you must provide certain information about the products and services you are seeking to purchase. Such information is collectively called the “Order Information.”

  1. Billing Information.

When you purchase a product or service, you will be required to provide certain information in addition to the Personal Information and Order Information noted above. Such information may include a debit card number, credit card number, expiration date, billing address and similar information. Such information is collectively called the “Billing Information.” Billing Information, is collected and processed by our third-party payment vendors pursuant to the terms and conditions of their privacy policies and terms of use. No credit card information that may be received in regard to a specific transaction and/or billing arrangement is stored except as necessary to complete and satisfy its rights and obligations with regard to such transaction, billing arrangement, and/or as otherwise authorized by a user.

In addition to the information noted above, we may collect additional information (collectively, the “Other Information”). Such Other Information may include:

Accessing and Modifying Personal Information and Communication Preferences

You may manage your receipt of marketing and non-transactional communications by clicking on the “unsubscribe” link located on the bottom of any email from the Company. Customers cannot opt out of receiving emails related to their Orders and transactions.

The Company may disclose user information in special cases when we have reason to believe that disclosing this information is necessary to identify, contact or bring legal action against someone who may be causing injury to or interference (either intentionally or unintentionally) with the Company’s rights or property, other users of the Site, or anyone else that could be harmed by such activities.

How the Information is used and shared

Information (Personal Information, the Order Information, the Billing Information, and the Other Information) submitted at the time of submission will be used by the Company only as necessary for our legitimate business interests, to provide our services and including without limitation the improvement of our products, services and the contents of the Site.

The Company may also share such information with our business and promotional partners to further those interests. Personally identifiable information is never sold or leased to any third parties..

We may employ other companies and individuals to perform functions on our behalf. Such as providing technical assistance, customer service and marketing assistance. These other companies will have access to the Information only as necessary to perform their functions and to the extent permitted by law.

With your permission, we may use your contact information to send you information about our company and products.

Information You Share

Whenever you voluntarily disclose Personal Information; for example via email, during webinars, workshops, telephone conferences, or coaching calls; or in comment or chat areas, that information can be seen, collected, heard, and/or used by other parties besides us. We cannot be responsible for any unauthorized third-party use of such information.

External websites: The Company is not responsible for the content or practices of third party websites that may be linked to the Site. The Company is also not responsible for any information that you might share with such linked websites. You should refer to each website’s respective privacy policy and practices prior to disclosing any information.

Children

We do not knowingly collect Personal Information from children under the age of 13 through the Site. If you are under 13, please do not give the Company or the Site any Personal Information. We encourage parents and legal guardians to monitor their children’s Internet usage and to help enforce our Privacy Policy by instructing their children to never provide Personal Information through the Site without their permission. If the Company discovers that a child age 13 or younger has signed up on the Site or provided us with personally identifiable information, we will endeavour to delete that child’s identifiable information from our records.

Malware/Spyware/Viruses: Neither the Company nor the Site knowingly permit the use of spyware, malware, viruses, and/or other similar types of software.

Information provided by you via general e-mail inquiries to the Company such as your e-mail address is used only to respond to your inquiries in the ordinary course of business, and is never shared with third parties.

As a result, while we strive to protect your personal information, The Company cannot ensure or warrant the security of any information you transmit via the internet.
