Become a Qualified Teacher of Usui Reiki
The Reiki Master Teacher training is an opportunity to step into your role as teacher and guide. The training will help you to reflect on your skills, deepen your understanding of Reiki, develop your teaching style and figure out how you wish to share Reiki with the world.
This Reiki teacher training is part of a year apprenticeship. This gives you the space to reflect on your Reiki training, receive the attunements, learn the necessary training pointers, create your teaching materials and feel confident to run your first Reiki level 1 course. Most students complete the training in 10 – 18 months. It depends on your commitment. Creating your training material can take time and everyone has their own pace.
You will experience one to one sessions both in-person and online that are tailored to suit your specific requirements, unique gifts and learning preferences. You will also have to spend time creating and reviewing your teaching materials and reflecting on your strengths.
With Reiki supporting you, you will be encouraged to deepen your Reiki practice. The training will help you develop your intuition and strengthen your relationship with helping guides, to support your ongoing spiritual growth, wisdom and understanding.
Who is the Reiki Master Teacher training for?
In order to begin the teacher training you must have completed Reiki Master Training. It is recommended that Reiki is an integral part of your path and that you truly desire to share Reiki as a teacher and guide.
If you have not completed your Reiki training with Fay, then you will need to demonstrate that you have a sound understanding of Reiki principles, Reiki symbols, meditations and techniques and practice Reiki on a regular basis.
No experience as a teacher is required, however any teaching experience is a bonus and will help you when you are developing your training material and class plans.
The path of Reiki Master teacher connects you with the very heart of Reiki and transforms you as well as your students. The transformational journey of Reiki teacher is never ending. You continue to grow each time you run a Reiki class, learning from your students and developing your own unique style of teaching which reflects your own personal connection to Reiki energy. Be prepared to be empowered and rewarded on your path as a Reiki teacher as you expand and open to new aspects of yourself and allow Reiki to guide you.
My approach is creative and flexible. I aim to help you confidently connect to Reiki in your own unique way and develop your your own particular style of teaching Reiki and sharing the energy with others.

What you will be required to produce:
There is no case study requirement, however, each Master Teacher student is required to work on and produce their own course materials for each of the levels of Reiki. It is recommended that your training materials are completed within the year to allow for feedback. A certificate will be provided following the creation of your course plans and teaching materials. You will need to provide a minimum of:
- Reiki Level 1 Manual, teaching plan and materials
- Reiki Level 2 Manual, teaching plan and materials
- Journal excerpts reflecting on your experience of the attunement process.
How the Reiki Master Teacher Training works
Many of the one to one sessions can take place online. However, to receive the attunement and to learn the attunement process, this will need to be in person.
As well as teaching you how to give attunements and review all of your Reiki knowledge and experience so far, we go through lesson plans, teaching skills, holding space and there is also the opportunity to work through and heal any resistance you have with stepping into your Teacher self.
It’s an exciting training as it really focuses on opening and bringing through tremendous healing power, not only for the student (you) but holding the space for all of those students that will come (through you!).
The training consists of 15 hours face to face (in person and/or online) as well as 8 hours + spent creating/ reviewing materials. Start date is flexible and can be discussed to suit both parties, the pace of the course will also be agreed within a year to 18 months.
The one to one sessions must be completed within the year (or agreed timescale) and it is also recommended that your training materials are also completed within this time to allow for feedback. When the program has come to an end, for continued support, you have the option of purchasing additonal mentorship sessions. This is to encourage you to get your materials completed and start teaching!

Session 1: online 90 minutes
- Review of Reiki 1 materials

Session 4: In person (3 hours)

- Receiving the Reiki Master Teacher attunement

Session 6: In person 3 hours (at least 3 weeks after session 4)

Session 7: Online 60 minutes
- Check- in/coaching session: Opportunity to ask questions, discuss challenges, reflect on the process so far.
- Review teaching strategies and Reiki 1 material
Session 8: Online 60 minutes
- Reiki practice, guided meditation and healing.
Session 9: Online 60 minutes
- Check- in/coaching session: Opportunity to ask questions, discuss challenges, reflect on the process so far.
- Review teaching plan and Reiki 2 material
Session 10: Online 60 minutes (to be taken after student has completed their first Reiki 1 training if required/desired.)
- Check-in/coaching: An opportunity to review your first experience teaching.
I never planned on teaching Reiki but it has become a natural evolution of my spiritual pathm and what a joy!
Reiki Master Teacher Training Fees
The fees for the year teacher training program are £1950 inclusive of all materials. A payment plan can be arranged.

Fay’s Approach to Reiki
I started my Reiki Journey in 2000 with Tripuri Dunne and finally trained as a Reiki Master Teacher in 2009 with Keri Manning. Since my initial experiences with the energy I have become more influenced by my Shamanic Practitioner Training and training in the Reiki Drum technique. These techniques have deepened my experience of working with Reiki energy and strengthened my connection with my intuition and relationship with my spirit guides. My special inspiration comes from Nature, earth energy and plants in particular so I introduce these elements into my Reiki practise creatively and I love to inspire others to follow their inspiration too!

We reserve the right to reject any booking request we receive. In the event you are unable to attend you may substitute another participant to an Event upon notification to Fay Johnstone at no additional charge; this is at Fay’s discretion. Unless otherwise stated the refund policy for events is as follows: Bookings may be transferred to a later date if sufficient notice is given in advance. 4-2 weeks before the event: 50% of the fee refunded. Less than 2 weeks before the event: no refund. All places on Events are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Events are subject to cancellation or rescheduling at our discretion. If the Event is cancelled in its entirety, we will credit any event fees paid to you as soon as possible. If the time, date, venue or content of the Event is changed subsequent to your booking, you will be notified and given the option to cancel your booking. We shall not be liable for any additional loss or damage resulting from such cancellation or changes.
